Before you start

• A research agent and its model account or API key
• Your criteria and the sources you want it to check

Allow for agent/model costs separately from the computer subscription. Check the agent's current prerequisites in its official guide.

1. Open the computer

When your computer is running, choose Open computer. It opens the desktop in your browser tab. Open Terminal there to install tools.

2. Install and connect your agent

Hermes Agent is an example option for this task. Follow its official installation and account setup on Ubuntu. Enable any browser, search, or file tools needed by your task. Cubicles does not install it for you.

Confirm that the agent responds to a simple request before connecting additional services.

3. Try this first task

Compare five suppliers for recycled packaging. Include minimum orders, lead times, pricing where published, and source links. Mark anything you cannot verify. Save the comparison as supplier-shortlist.md.

Check the sources and unverified details before making a decision.

4. Check the result and continuity

Find the saved output and inspect it. Then configure a persistent process using your agent's current instructions, close only the browser view, and reconnect to check the same workspace. Do not stop the computer during that test.

If it does not work

Check installation errors, model authentication, tool availability, and the working directory. Use the official project's troubleshooting resources. A ticked checklist does not confirm agent health.
